WELCOME TO NEXTGEN: CANADA

The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) and the Getty Leadership Institute at Claremont Graduate University (GLI@CGU) are pleased to announce that the next offering of the NextGen: Canada program will be taking place in Calgary, Alberta next year in February / March 2013. Dates and location will be announced in Spring 2012.

NextGen: Canada has proven to fill a need in the Canadian museum sector by providing learning opportunities for emerging and mid-career professionals. This immersive program offers an exceptional development opportunity for participants as they explore their leadership abilities and gain the knowledge, skills, and wisdom they need to become even more effective leaders. GLI@CGU’s world-renowned learning structure provides a creative and meaningful forum for thoughtful, dynamic encounters with people who share a passion for museums. A multifaceted learning and career development experience of high calibre, NextGen: Canada examines the trends and challenges of the museum sector in Canada with an engaged and professional faculty.

The AMA and GLI@CGU are pleased to continue this collaboration and carry on the investment in the future success and growth of the museum sector. Building leadership capacity within institutions of varying size and scope, the legacy of NextGen: Canada will be seen for years to come.
