Our Origin Story
Next Gen was founded in 2023 by a group of students who recognized the disparities in post-secondary support across different school communities. While some students benefited from strong support systems, mentorship, and personalized advice, others were left to navigate the process on their own. Next Gen was launched to bridge that gap by offering accessible resources to ensure that every student has the support they need to confidently pursue higher education
Since its founding, Next Gen has actively worked to empower students in Surrey and beyond, offering workshops on scholarships, university applications, and career development, along with personalized mentorship and networking opportunities. Through initiatives like peer mentorship programs and partnerships with the Surrey School District, Next Gen continues to strive toward making higher education accessible to all, regardless of their background or resources.
